Picking her up tomorrow morning, trading the 2013 Dodge Crew Cab in. How is everyone liking theirs so far?

Thanks for the welcome everyone, I am looking forward to this new design. I have a question, on my Dodge I have an app called Uconnect, I can start it, unlock it, ect. What is the app for the GMC? Does it have all of these features? I was trying to do some research but didn't find much for the 2015.

There is an app from Onstar that allows you to start it, unluck doors, and a few other things. You have to have an active account for it to work.

I found some limited info on the app, looks like you can also use navigation from the app as well. From what I can see its better than Dodge app, where you can only start and unlock. Nothing else and they want to charge $25 per month for that.

I purchased the minimum amount of time required by onstar to use the app. Seems like it was 4$. The app is handy especially since I don't carry my fob. So if the wife is not around and I need to get in I can. I also use it to track oil life so she doesn't have to. The nav feature is interesting, evidently you can relay your location to the system if the person who is driving is trying to find you. For example. I am in a restaurant, and the wife is supposed to meet me but does not where it is at, I can send my location to the nav.

That sounds pretty decent and useable. That will be nice. It was my understanding that with 2015 models you get 5 years of Onstar included.

Congrats! You are going to love it. Make sure to post up some pictures today after you get her.

I'm pretty sure you only get 1 year of OnStar for free then its time to pay up. I personally think that OnStar is a waste of money. Have never paid for it and will continue to never pay for it. I don't know why they can't incorporate many of these features through phone apps. Even if we had to pay for the apps to get the features, I'd be fine with that. OnStar seems to be a major crutch to GM right now. Other manufacturers are doing their own thing and it seems to be working better. Sorry for the rant....and congrats again on your new ride!
