Hi, new to the site, but I've been a Chevy guy for 30 years. I restored a bunch of 71 72 Chevy-GMCs, even a 72 suburban 3 door, and I just bought a 97 Tahoe im pretty pleased with. It has 190,000 K (118,000 Miles). 5.7 Vortec and I trfansfered the FIPK from my 96 Silverado which is just ready to hit 400,000 K (250,000 miles)The Silverado still runs like a top, but the Tahoe looks like more fun. I din't transfer the throttlebody spacer, but I don't think that did much for my truck anyway. Would have swapped the 40 series Flowmasters duals, but I think I might go 50s on the Tahoe. I had to also swap over the hand controls as I have been in a chair for the last 11 years. I lucked out finding a truck with a 2-4 drop which makes transfering a bit easier. Anyway, glad to have found some like minded folks to help answer questions, and see the great idea's people have come up with on their trucks.
