So, I decided that I was going to take the LT and Tahoe lettering off my hoe today. I also decided that I was going to try and spray paint the front and back Chevy emblems gloss black.

I used Rustoleum Gloss Black Automotive Enamel spray paint. I used Goof Off to clean the emblems before I painted them.

I used a flat head screwdriver to pry off the lettering (made sure to not scratch the paint!) and used Goo Gone to remove the adhesive.

Tell me what you guys think!

i did notice that after I removed the lettering, there is an outline of the LT and TAHOE where it used to be. Goo Gone wouldn't take it off. If I took the tahoe to get buffed and waxed, would that take care of it? I have read you guys talking about using clay? as well?

Thoughts or ideas?

what I did on my 07 Black Sierra was to us the goo gone to take most of the adhesive off and then i used some WD40 to take the outline off and then use a little more goo gone to remove the WD40 residue and then was it. Worked great for me.

Also what year is you Tahoe?

Awesome, thanks for the wd40 tip, gonna try that in a few. It is an 07' LT. Nothin' fancy, but I don't like all that navi crap and leather seats. Give me that basics and I am a happy camper. ( I do have a bose sound system though thank god)

I debadged mine couple of days ago I just muscled the hell out of it with some detailer and a terry cloth and the outline of the lt came out eventually... I couldnt just leave it there or it would have drove me nuts even if it was just till I got it buffed out....

Agreed sumo. I want to do a drop but just not sure of what brand and how all that works. Want it to be the next project. What drop do you have and how does it ride? It looks like it would be kinda rough. I have a lot of bumps and potholes where i live, so I am hesitant to go too low.

Needs more low!

What brand of wheels are those?

Do you have any other pics with different angles? I want to get a better pic with the boards off.
