Most gorilla and wheels locks are universal and not unique, just like center cap torq bolts. That's why center caps are easy to remove. U can bring a set of torq bits and remove em. A thief can got up to wheels with a bunch of wheels locks and pull em right off. Most tire shops carry them for cheap. I never said the process of stealing rims were easy but all thieves are determined.

That's why they putting cylinder blocks under the brake assembly is so easy because if they remove one wheel without lifting the entire rear of the truck, it will slide right under. And the wheel on the other side is still planted on the ground.

i dont get it. all the weight of the vehicle is still on the tires flat or now. unless the support if from the height when the tire was inflated?

The weight of the vehicle is on the springs and shocks if applicable

Everyone has had pretty good ideas. Any way you can park in a garage or a secured lot at all?

Yeah but the tire would still be touching the ground and have all the weight on it. You would still need to stick some blocks under there to catch it.

Thinkin about buying some rims for my 'Hoe but I live in a high crime area. People get rims stolen all the time around here. What are some options for keepin the rims on my truck? Is an alarm the only way to go? Wheel locks?

nothings more scary then the sound of a mossberg 500.get one!

don't be a baller. get OEMs.

Honestly, if you have wheels I really want, it far is easier and faster to steal the entire truck than to take just the wheels.

(flat bed, stealth repo truck, a jack and some vehicle rollers, etc).

Look at what they did to get iwaslower's wheels... they car jacked it, and then burned the truck just for the wheels.I 'd rather they take the rims and leave the truck, rather than getting a burned out shell back in a week or so. Rims are easily replaced.

i always used different lug nuts locks for each stud when i had my racing harts.

here in CO most people buy the universal ones found in auto part stores... bad mistake.

a thief will take your shit if he really wants it. no alarm or special wheel lock will stop him. the other day my neighbor got shot at, because he heard his alarm and went out to check it. thieves here are packing heat and if you think you can go out side and shoot them before the person looking out for the other shoots you, go out but i wouldn't risk going out just for a stereo and ending up dead or with a 20k hospital bill.
i say get insurance for your truck and rims if possible and pray the will be there every morning.

Honestly if it's that hard to keep your wheels on your vehicle in your area I wouldn't even think about getting any.

bag it! Just get it low enough where they can't get anything under your vehicle to lift it or pull the tires off!
