bag it! Just get it low enough where they can't get anything under your vehicle to lift it or pull the tires off!

That's the best idea yet. The bad thing is then they just take the truck. As everyone else has said use as many safe guards as possible. Locking lugs, alarm, but most importantly INSURANCE. If they come up missing it may be a hassle, but insurance will pay for new ones.

You know I just thought of somehing else. Wheel tethers, like they use on race cars.

Most gorilla and wheels locks are universal and not unique, just like center cap torq bolts. That's why center caps are easy to remove. U can bring a set of torq bits and remove em. A thief can got up to wheels with a bunch of wheels locks and pull em right off. Most tire shops carry them for cheap. I never said the process of stealing rims were easy but all thieves are determined.

That's why they putting cylinder blocks under the brake assembly is so easy because if they remove one wheel without lifting the entire rear of the truck, it will slide right under. And the wheel on the other side is still planted on the ground.

The weight of the vehicle is on the springs and shocks if applicable

Mine aren't universal, the spline drive types are though!
If I lost the key for these I would be pretty screwed.

Could you sync up an alarm with a train horn? I reckon that would work.

I thought it was kinda odd when a local stereo shop suggested this big ass horn under my hood, but I looked around and noticed a few people were buyinh them. Then I requested to hear it AND IT MADE A HUGE DIFFERENCE. I had it in my previous auto but I am going to get one on my HOE. Not sure if it's a train horn or just a big ass siren but it looks like a mega phone.

BAck in the day we used to install another alarm siren deep under the dash. Really hurts your ears when your in there. Two under the hood or one under the hood and one under toward the back of the car. My Z28 actually had two alarm systems a friend had tied into it with 3 sirens. LOud and it worked great. At 1st there were some issues with false alarms but they were worked out to where it was perfect. also had motion sensors due to having t-tops. I never had issues with anyone screwing with my stuff then again I knew people and they knew me. SO I think there was always a level of respect.

i always used different lug nuts locks for each stud when i had my racing harts.

here in CO most people buy the universal ones found in auto part stores... bad mistake.

a thief will take your shit if he really wants it. no alarm or special wheel lock will stop him. the other day my neighbor got shot at, because he heard his alarm and went out to check it. thieves here are packing heat and if you think you can go out side and shoot them before the person looking out for the other shoots you, go out but i wouldn't risk going out just for a stereo and ending up dead or with a 20k hospital bill.
i say get insurance for your truck and rims if possible and pray the will be there every morning.

I agree...but I have heard some train horn setups and damn those things will wake the dead for attention!

I've just save that rim cash and put it down on a place outside the trap. Or get an alarm amd become tight with the fences and choppers in your town, because if they can defear an alarm they're pros, and pros will take all their takes to fences and chop shops.
