no brake light no backup light

I chang e do out the brake light switch under the dash. Still no light. Can someone give a wiring diagram? I have power to the brake switch but not to the brake lamp.

If you have power at the switch do you have power out of it when depress the pedal? If you have no power through it then suspect bad new part. If has power through it and none at the socket for the bulb then suspect a bad/broken wire. If you have a pigtail for a trailer then start there.

Have power to the brake switch but to the not to the receptacle. Disconnected the trailer pigtail already. I'm wanting to check power thru the brake switch but don'tknow which wire or location

Do the wires run inside the truck or along the frame?

I believe along the frame but checking them before you determine the power out of the switch will waste time. I don't know which wire is the feed to the rear but if you know the wire feeding power and when depress the switch and no power comes out at any of the wires then likely a bad switch. Has to be at least one wire feed out of it. You have cruise control wiring there too.

found the connector on the steering wheel not properly installed. It's working now!
