Let me go step by step.

When I bought my 04' tahoe it had no high fan , #5 on the knob. This is not climate control or auto. This is manual fan speeds.

Today my wife went out and had no problem, I went out later and there is no fan at all. The rear air is running and blows cold air if I turn the fan knob on you can hear the compressor kick in but no fan.

I checked all the fuses and they are all good.

Is there a way to jump the fan out to make sure its not my fan or is it just the control panel. I dont want to spend $140. on a control panel and find out its a switch on the fan or some other module.

I have been reading and someone mentioned a blower control processor. Is that just for auto a/c?

I think it's your blower motor for the front going out. My wife's honda has the same problem, and oddly enough if I pull it out and zap it to start for a second with 12v direct from the battery, it starts working again. Chances are the issue is in the fan wiring rather than somewhere else in the system. Same with yours, your rear ac works.

I would pick up a new one and install it personally.

Just got done and she is fixed and i have a 5 speed. It was the blower resistor control. All rusted up and the one plug was rusted so bad it was broke off in the connector. I'm assuming that was the 5th speed.

Thanks for the reply

Replace the plug if it was like that. The parts guy told me that normaly when the resistor goes out it is caused by the blower motor.

I have been fighting mine for 6 months I am on the 3rd motor and 6th resistor pack. With the blower I have now the bearings almost instantly got tight. I think I still have problems. I would suggest not running it on high very much. That seams to fry mine quick.

my mother had an issue with her fan a couple years back.. we were drivin back from south dakota in the beginning of march... now keep in mind i know her car isnt a hoe or a kon but it was a 99 grand prix.... with it being a gm product and all this is why im sayin what im sayin.... 50 miles into the trip back we lost the fan entirely.... talk bout a fun time gettin home without heat or atleast defrost and to top things off had a speed sensor go out around the same time.... when we got back i threw it in the shop for her and found out we had a bad ignition switch... now i dunno if our air systems are tied into the switch or not on our trucks but might be somethin to keep in mind....
