Hey everyone, im considering buying a 2001 yukon denali. Im kind of concerned about possible electrical problems but wanted to see if this was a common problem or something.

The headlights just dont turn on. The highbeams work (even though one side is burnt out) and the fog lights work. The interior dash lights work, but alot of the interior lighting is burnt out (i hope). And the cluster seems kinda dull. It has a escalade cluster in it, so idk if that would make a difference either.

I didnt check any fuses or anything but the price on the truck is good because it has a lot problems. Im not looking too get myself too much work though so was wondering if anyone has had this problem before.

I noticed that it has a subwoofer controller so I guess they wired in subs and am worried they did a bad job and possibly messed up other stuff.

Thanks in advance

Forget to mention the parking lights work. Its just the headlights that dont work. I forgot to check the rear lights so im not sure what those are doing

check the headlight relay under the hood fuse box, very common, even try taking it out and cleaning the post, or believe it or not make sure both headlights aren't burnt out lol

Old thread, but I looked and looked and found no real help for this issue.

It was my headlight control module(the thing with the switch on it). I checked the grounds first, then fuses, they were good. I figured the module might be bad by turning the lights on and off and feeling if the relays would click, they did not. The switch to prevent the interior lights from coming on when you open the door did not work either.

I ordered the replacement module off Amazon for about $32 and installed it. STILL DIDNT WORK, however you could feel the low beam relays click on and off. When the old module bit the dust it blew both driver side and passenger side low beam bulbs.

Hopefully this will help someone in the future.
