No park, also no 4 low

I have an 01 tahoe that we did a transmission swap on due to losing reverse in other transmission. Now that we are done with swap, my transmission won’t engage into park. Also the digital indicator that shows what gear I’m in jumps around. Also, transfer case will not engage in 4 low, but will engage in 4 hi and 2 hi as normal. Any info on how to fix these issues would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Disconnect the cable halves under the car, put the shifter into park, go underneath and manually put the linkage into park, then reconnect the cable halves. There's no pressure/tension/finaggling with them. Just connect the things in their resting state when both the trans and shifter are in park
