no sound from RSE through speakers.

I have a 2004 Chevy Tahoe z71 with the standard Panasonic rear seat entertainment and I am NOT getting any audio through the speakers.I have turned on the DVD player in the back before changing the source on the front control module and all I hear is clicks from the speakers.the DVD player is working and the video is playing on the screen but I do not have any sound through the speakers here are a few photos that I thought might help

That silver cable has two connectors one blue the other clear.

That silver piece is probably an aftermarket RCA

Any pic of the Panasonic unit?

Do the headphones work?

I wonder if the wired headphones is the same signal to the RSE on the radio. Possible the audio out signal could be bad. I'm still interested to know what that silver wire is, since I don't think it's OEM.

I think I'm going to take it to someone to have it looked at. I probably could but would have to have a day free to make sure I could get it all back together, unless I have a detailed writeup on how to take it off and put it back.
