Is the non afm camshaft supposed to have a groove in the 2nd bearing journal?

The cam I just installed has no groove, so I am questioning if the cam is correct before tearing it back apart. Currently it has a miss on 1,4,6, and 7. The cylinders the afm controls. Is this an ecu program issue?

@glosol If you are running non-AFM hardware you need to tune the AFM feature out of your computer. You can temporarily plug the old valley cover electrical connector back in and lay the old valley cover in the engine bay somewhere and that should make it run correctly. Get the AFM tuned out asap.

The non-afm cam will not have the groove you speak of, and that's normal.
