Whats up all. Im a noob to the site and a noob to the SUV world. Im in law enforcement and live in Texas. Ive got an 03 Tahoe LT loaded out with 56,000 miles. Bought it from a chick who rarely drove it and its in awesome shape. She put on some girlie lookin 20" Moto Metal rims on it that are okay i guess. Ready to hop into the madness and start trikin my hoe out soon. Any info. on where to start would be awesome. Ready to de-badge and de-mold this weekend so thats a start. What's the best way to do it? Thanks

Hi Joe, if you use the search feature you'll find numerous ways to de-badge and de-mold. You'll see people talking about using fishing line, a cheap tool from Harbor Freight and just ripping it off. Then there's the different ways to get the adhesive off. Everywhere from muscle grease to the 3M wheel. I watched plenty of 3M wheel videos on youtube. I'm taking some of the badges off my truck when the weather is warm but plan on leaving the big molding on the sides. I like the chrome piece.

As far as other things to do to your truck, it'd be your personal preference. Hang around here long enough and you'll see plenty of topics covered and just do it as $$ allows.

2 cent mode: If you don't have a lot of $$ to begin with, sack some away in case the tranny or one of the diffs go out all the sudden.

Welcome to the forum Joe! Dave gave you some good advice regarding the moldings and such. Definitely search around the site for ideas as to what you can do to your Tahoe. There are quite an abundance of things you can do, it's more of a matter of what you want to do.

Welcome man... An easy way to get the badges off is heat them up (i used a blow torch and stayed far away, you can also use a hair drier) and use a plastic scraper/spreader to wedge them off or use floss. Then use a pin stripping wheel to get the two sided tape off. After that use some rubbing compound and clean it up.
