Hey guys,
I installed a Kenwood double din a little while ago from the stock OEM GPS on my 07 Denali. When I first start the truck or turn the power on the unit powers up, but only sound comes from the subs and nothing through the BOSE speakers. If I shut down the stereo and power it back up I have sound in all speakers. So what I have to do is every time I am about to park my truck and get out I have to power down the stereo before I shut the power down on the truck. Then I manually power it back up when I start the truck and everything is fine.

I would like to get ride of this and just always leave the unit on.

Anyone else had a issue with this? I've called Crutchfield where I got the parts and they can't figure it out either...

Any help would be awesome! Thanks!

I had a similar problem. Mine ended up being a bad module. I was using the metra gmos4 and it was failing. Replaced the module and everything worked again.

Something in your metra or pac adapter (didn't see where it said which one). Are you sure it is hooked up to the correct power source and if that is confirmed than the adapter is bad.

Part of the programming in the instructions for the metra piece sais when you first hook the radio up turn the key on and wait 30 seconds and shut the key off. Sort of a learning process to see a differance in the data information. I have also seen in the past some pioneer units don't have enough amperage on the amp turn on to turn on multiple things. Not sure what you have installed but the first one is most likely the issue.

Thanks for the tips. I'll give them a try! Hopefully I can figure it out because it's pissing me off! Haha
