So jealous. I wish I had that kind of mechanical ability. I would do this in a haeartbeat if I could.

Looks great! Enjoy!

EastTX,
It really wasn't too hard, the swap took about 14 hours start to cleanup. I had a lift and a buddy to help. I collected all of the necessary parts before hand; right down to the shifter boot screws. The only thing that wasn't a simple bolt in was the exhaust. My exhaust cross over pipe has been tweaked from day 1 and it was touching the NV4500. A simple sawzall and 1" piece of tubing fixed that.

Update
My swap is almost 100% complete. I have removed all of the under dash automatic shifter components, shifter cable and park position key lock out.
For the start safety switch I located the purple and purple/white wires on the automatic trans range switch and wired them together. I then found the purple wire and spliced one side to each pole on the clutch start safety switch.

Things left to do:
BB tune. This week.

Find a manual transmission cluster. Err the park indicator light is driving me crazy!

Wire up the clutch cruse control kill. Err, its embarrassing when your driving on the freeway, push in the clutch and bounce it off 6K! :emotions122:

Swap the brake pedal or cut off the automatic one and replace the pad. The pedals aren't at even heights so I might try swapping them.

Service transmission and transfer case.

Sunlit, would it be possible to get a Cruse Control wiring diagram for a 98 K2500 5 speed?
Thank you,
Kyle

My truck is a 99. I believe that from 95 on up they all came with the bracket spot welded behind the dash.

Small Update:
My smog certificate came due, so I took the truck in to my local smog shop. This guy is so legal that he could have been a lawyer, and actually told me in the beginning that converting a modern OBD2 vehicle to a manual transmission was a bad idea. Well after the truck passed smog I told him that this was indeed the truck that I talked to him about last year. He was amazed at how clean my swap was. I can get more excited about my vortec headed ZZ4 crate engine swap now that im in good shape for two years.
