I have an '07 Yukon Denali and will be going from the stock 20s to 24s this spring, so in the meantime, I want to do a 2/3-4 drop. From reading through several threads, it looks like these two kits might be the best options:

http://www.tbssowners.com/store/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=87
http://www.tbssowners.com/store/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=122

Few questions...

So what's the main difference between the two?
Is the JDM kit worth the extra cash?
Should I buy new shocks along with the kits for a better ride?
Is this a relatively easy DIY for someone with very minimal suspension experience, and will I need any special tools?
Last, but not least...do forum members get special pricing on these kits? :)

THats my page so here we go.

The rear kits are exactly the same on them.

DUe to you having autoride I wold do the belltech spindles/springs for 525 shipped

as for price i try to offer the lowest shipped and if you see it for less ill beat it. On top of that I offer 24/7 support for the items I sell and unlike others I just dont read out of the book i lower these trucks also so can give true feedback.

Thanks for the quick response Tony!

Just out of curiosity, why not the JDM kit? It says autoride is ok...

Also, what can you add in regards to the install? Do any instructions come with the kit or do you have a link to a decent thread about it (I couldn't find one on here). I can turn a wrench and follow directions, but I wouldn't feel comfortable just jumping in and screwing with my suspension without a little guidance, so that is the only thing right now that's keeping me from ordering this kit...

TIA!

The kit comes with instructions and very easy to install. Lots of the people have 4x4 with autoride and the djms say for 2wd only so scares em away thats why I said that.

The 2 inch a arms are easy to install faster than spindles.

Here are the djm a arm in stall

Sorry Burb...guess I need to visit the forum rules.

Morning Tony, I'd like to get a kit ordered ASAP, but I'm still a bit cofused on the two options. Is the only reason you suggested the Belltech, because the JDM says 2wd only? If you were doing this install on your rig, which one would you choose and why? Thanks again!

FYI - The overall look, ride quality and reliability are the most important factors in my decision...

Finally installed!

Since I didn't have the right torque wrench (200lb) and a 36mm(?) socket, I decided to have a local truck specialty shop do the drop for me ($300 in labor). I asked for the 4" drop in the back, but they put the spacer in and said they couldn't do the 4" or it would rub :emotions122: They are obviously full of shit, but I think I'll wait to see how it looks when I buy new wheels this spring (24"), before I pull the spacers out.

Tony, do you have any before/after pics of the factory bump stops, so I know what needs cut, if I decide to go 4" in the rear? Also, any advantage or dissadvantage between the 3 and 4" drop other than asthetics? Also, my "service suspension" warning has come on twice now...is that normal or did they screw something up? Thanks for all of your help!

on to the pics...
