the rear kit comes with new bumpstops that are shorter.

the truck has autoride on it if so if they didnt plug the sensor in or broke a sensor line.

Damn, you're quick :)

So, the only thing to do to acquire the 4" drop, is lift up the rear and pull the spacers out?

I figured the warning had something to do with the autoride...is that the only thing that would throw the warning. Also, any saftey concerns if I don't get that fixed right away, because I have to drive across a mtn pass this afternoon. Again, appreciate your help!

yes just pull spacers out and make sure the autoride links are about 3 inches from center to center.

make sure the front shocks have the autoride clips in. Also did it happen when front was done or rear?

yup somethings not right either they didnt hook it back up right or broke a line.

Front spindles dont affect the autoride system at all and rear with shock extenders in the shocks work like factory.

Yup, they broke a line. I heard some rubbing in the right rear, so when I looked to see where it was rubbing, I spotted the broken line. The right rear is sitting about 1/2" higher than the left, which is strange, because that's the side that occasionally rubs :whymewhyme:

EDIT: Here are some pics. Is this the correct link that came with the kit or did they leave the OEM link in there?

correct link but looks like they destroyed it.

What you can do is go to a hardware store get a machine screw that is alittle bigger and it will thread right in.

it looks liek they bent the hell out of the mount when pulling it off.

I bet the right was higher in stock form, too. Mine was, and still is (after the 2-3 drop). Most (if not all) of these trucks are higher on the one side...

I'll be watching this thread, because I want to go a little lower in the rear, and will probably just pull the spacer first, but want to see if I also need to go shorter on the links, etc...

Thanks Tony, found some all thread at work this morning and fixed the problem before my appt to take it back to the shop this afternoon. I made the all thread 2.5" long, and I think I read somewhere (maybe this thread) that the link should measure 3" from center/center...am I measuring this right?

Here's the fix in place :)

Thanks! I'm shopping for wheels now, so I'll post some pics when I finally pull the trigger.

I haven't driven anywhere after installing the new link, but I did start the engine, and the passenger side is still a bit higher, but by less...there's about a 3/8" difference now.

I'll post updates if I take the spacer out :Handshake:
