Hey fellas. Anyone using some type of plug that sends readings like to a app. I can see info with my little cheap scanner tool. I would really like to see the gauges on my tablet or phone. Any info is really appreciated.

Lots of options out there for what you are looking for.

I personally have this one.

And downloaded the OBD Fusion app but it will work with a number of apps. Just need to look at a few of them to find what you like.

I do know that some manufacturers have different models for Android and Apple devices so watch out for that.

The Torque app on the Android store is what I use. It's highly customizable, and yes, it can display trans temp. If you take a look at posts 27 & 28 in this thread

you can see what I set up using Torque on a Samsung tablet I have mounted in the console.

BTW the gauges look a lot better in person, I didn't get very good pictures. The colors really flared and washed out in those shots.

I'm still struggling to get all the sensors working. :( It reports my RPM, in real time, but that's all I've figured out so far. And it doesn't see my check engine light on or any codes associated with that...

What device are you using to provide input to the app?

It's a BAFX bluetooth OBD2 interface that I mounted in the driver's side fuse panel area. I hard-wired it into the ignition for power so I don't have worry about it running the battery down. It's also wired into the Class 2 bus so that the OBD port is free for connecting a scanner like my Tech2.
