Hey all. First time poster here. I recently purchased a 2012 LTZ Tahoe and it has a couple issues which I hope are easy to fix and wanted to get some input from the experts before I start buying parts or take it to the dealer.

Some of the passenger side accessories are not working while others are, here's a list of them.

Working:
  • Power adjust mirror
  • Door lock/unlock and switch
  • Window up/down and switch
  • In door Speaker
And the items not working:
  • Heated/cooled seat
  • Power fold mirror
Unknown condition:
  • Blinker indicator in mirror
  • Heated mirror
  • Auto dimming mirror
  • Blind zone indicator
For some reason the previous owner put base model mirrors on it. Not sure if someone bashed them and he didn't want to shell out the cash for the correct ones or what. I ordered 2 new ones and they should be here in a week or so.

My initial thoughts are either the Body Control Module (BCM) or the window/lock switch module is bad or hasn't been programmed to the car. I just don't know what's the best path to take with replacement.

Am I headed in the correct direction? Anyone else had an issue like this? The driver's side accessories all work fine, just having a few issues on the passenger that are very odd.

Before spending a lot of money on a mechanic, if the the new mirrors do not fix the problem try a new battery. At 4-5 years old, some batteries are starting to have internal connection problems which can cause strange symptoms just like you describe. Electrical noise is not a friend of computerized systems.

I actually purchased a used set which the power mirror adjust didn't work. If I plugged the mirror into the driver's side the power fold would work but not on the passenger.

Also I don't think the mirrors would affect the heat/cool option on the seat. I'm still going to wait for the mirrors but I am leaning toward a module that went bad or something.

Possible ... the window switch was changed at one time. Might have to be flashed again. Check with Service to see if the codes match up (just as @Mechanic421 said)

Thanks, I plan to take it to the dealer tomorrow to request it "reprogrammed." I did receive 2 brand new mirrors, both work fine on the drivers side but only the mirror adjust and turn signal indicator work on the passenger side.

I recently changed my door panels on my 13 tahoe and I had alot of weird electrical issues soon after. Driver door pull grab broke so I found 07 escalade driver door. I had to get the passenger too so the fronts would at least match. I used the existing escalade switches in the panels and that's when all he'll broke loose with power mirrors moving all on their own, heat seats buttons not working, windows not working. I took my switch boards off the old panels and screwed them into the escalade panels and that fixed everything. The escalade switch board in the panels were not compatible with my cpu of my 13 tahoe
