So after running all this tests on the yukon, we determined that the fuel pump ate shit. Now am debating if to get an oem pump or aftermarket. The prices are way different. Can someone tell me what the difference are between oem and aftermarket?

Go with OEM quality. You may pay more up front but will be better off in the long run.

Friend of mine bought aftermarket because it was cheaper and wen through 3 in 5 months.

Agreed.

If it's something easy to change like an alternator I MIGHT, try an aftermarket re-man from a chain store. For a fuel pump though where you have to drop the tank each time to change it I wouldn't trust anything but OEM.

Yep OEM only when it comes to these trucks. I had to AIRTEX put in mine and both times my gas gauge wouldn't work!

OEM pump. btw. try to disconnect the fuel line from the line going to the engine and turn the key. If air or gas comes from the line than it maybe something else.. anyways GL
