So I was looking on line at eBay and they were selling the same gm nav part number that I got and it says that you have to have it programmed for the lux Bose amp. Is this true I just thought that I would need to have it unlocked. Now I have also read and this is where I fall short but that you have to hook up the tech2 download the vehicle info then unplug and use TIS or some thing like that to make the changes and then upload back to the tech2 then on to the vehicle. Am I right or did I miss something. This is all based on what I have read. Please help.

Man I don't remember it being this hard. I had my nav unit put in my Yukon without Bose or RSE and it programmed like a champ in about a half hour. (not at the stealership) although I have not found out how to install the vss harness. Any help on that?

I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=35.350208,-119.049681

VSS wire is on the back of the left I/P junction block (big covered block to the left of the brake pedal). Pop off the cover, squeeze the clips and swing the whole assembly out, then turn it around.

Looking from top to bottom, you'll have two large plugs (from top: "X1" & "X2") and two small ones at the bottom ("X3" & "X4"). The VSS lead is the green/white wire in pin H1 of plug "X2" which is the second large plug down from the top. This is almost dead center on the bottom row of this plug.

Connect this to pin 5 on the brown connector (X4) of the GM navi...

Well just got back from another trip to the dealer that makes 3 this one was about 60 miles away and no go! I do not know what the hell is going on. I did see there was a service bulletin out on the radio not being able to lean the new vin and that is where mine will fail. I told the tech doing it and the service manager and they looked at me like I was stupid. So I just call my audio guy and going to go aftermarket. Now with that being said I tryed to post it for sale and it will not let me. Any help there?

Where did you find the vss harness already in your tahoe? Was it visible or did you actually have to feel around for it?

I had an LTZ and read that the VSS harness is built into those :Handshake:

I am a Survey Tech for a pipeline company. We are based out of Denver but I have been here for a year and half working on a 415 mile gas line from Salt Lake to Vegas.

I have family down in Aurora.

Where at in Louisiana are you from? LSU Fan right?

Oh cool I just got a job at an oil & gas company as an MWD field specialist. Oh really? I wish I had some family here... I moved here knowing no one! I'm from Lafayette, LA about two hours away from new orleans... and yes definitely an LSU fan!
