That would be ideal.
Whoops, edit...

Thanks for all the input guys. I'll hopefully be able to knock this out at some point this month. Just depends on your schedule, Shawn haha As I've stated earlier, this will be my first time working with electrical components like this, so I'll need guidance:sorrysign:

Do you have a decent soldering iron? -Weller is an excellent brand
You'll probably want a torch if your working with 4ga also

I've been meaning to upgrade my iron for awhile, toying with either getting a decent basic weller or gambling on a hakko 936 clone...

Good wire cutters/strippers are a must as well. -Klein is an excellent brand

Oh, you guys are local? That's sweet. Make him do the work or he will never learn! :)

I'm surprised you have not talked him into HID retrofitting the off road lights!

Not sure, I don't have any roof mounted lights.

I have seen guys run wires along door seals.

You always can!

I'll bet you can convert these blazer lights too for cheap... They are essentially the same housing, with the same style of bulb. I would hope that the optics are better in the Daylighters, but who knows.

Shoot, why not retro them and put some stuff in there from the TRS closeouts section. Fast bright ballasts, first gen h1 bulbs, standard mori projectors... could do it for less than $100. Alright Yukon, I did the hard work figuring it out, now go do it! :jester:

This guy did it on a sierra (no projectors, just HID's in KC's)

Haha. No point in projectors... I would want spot pattern.

Some h3 hid bulbs and some ballasts... bingo. Might order some and put 2 behind the grill on either side of the gmc logo.

Only problem is they wouldn't be any good for flash to pass or anything.

No sir! I gotta learn somehow. I don't fly like that haha You talk and I'll do it. What point is there in having someone who knows what they're doing if you don't learn anything from them! I'm very much a teach a man to fish type learner. I do appreciate the guidance so I don't fry myself of the Tahoe, though haha

And yeah, I'm in the DFW area until the second week of August doing an internship at TCU.

I plan on learning from Shawn any chance I get!
