Is the Z71 comparable to the LTZ or LT trim options?

IIRC, on the early GMT900s it was similar in features to the LT2 package. So, based on history I would assume closer to the current LT with some add ons.

Late 2015i's/2016 model should be bringing 8-speeds to the 5.3L as the 6-speed is discontinued for good. Probably by 2nd quarter 2015.

Interesting how GM is essentially forcing buyers to get the power retractable assist steps. I mean who's not going to want the HUD & Adaptive Cruise Control?

My wife literally did not care to have either the HUD or the adaptive cruise. (I wanted it.. because I like to fuss with these things.)
