Official Introduction

Whats up all

My names Jay. Been lurking for a while reading/stalking all these great posts. I figured I officially introduce myself. Just bought a 2000 Tahoe, for work purposes, a few months ago. I have some plans instore for it but waiting for winter do most of the mods..most are pretty common..ie: 3/5 drop, 22's (or 20's havent decided), HIDs, projectors, ss bumper cover, sectioned HD grille, color change, maybe some artwork on it......you get the idea

Current mods:
-20% tints up front (i think theyre 15% due to being darker than the back windows)
-reverse camera added to cubby hold/onstar area
-4HI mod
-debadged
-roof rack delete

I also own/operate an Airbrush Studio/Custom Paint shop in CT called XSPAINT, so if anyone has any questions about paint/refinishing/buffing and what not ill be happy to share my experience.

Thanks. Believe it or not im pretty undecided about what to do as far as paint goes. The truck is that god awful pewter color (no offense to anyone that has it i just cant stand it) the only reason i bought it was because the deal was just TOOO good to pass up.

I saw a pic online of a red "SS" hoe with a cat eye nose...looked amazing. But I've always wanted to do a truck Satin black (more of a semi-gloss than flat). as for artwork..thats a secret (insert evil laugh here)

Welcome to the forum Jay! I will have to check out your artwork thread.. I haven't run across it as of yet. Sounds like you have some sweet plans for it. Definitely keep us posted on the mods as they get installed.

Haha.. thanks! I wasn't sure about it when I bought it. It was similar to yours where it was just a deal I couldn't pass up and the quality was better than most others I found.

I just saw the thread with the web link in it. Awesome work. If I had skills like that my truck would certainly not be a solid color.

Thanks. The only issue with doing artwork on a daily driver/work vehicle is that itll instantly turn into a show truck. Not really what i had planned for it...plus ive talked to a couple local artist and they said they'll never do artwork on their dailys again...draws way too much attention and your truly never happy with it because being an artist you are your own worst critic and will always be saying "i couldve done that differently"
