I drove it back in July when I was looking and was gonna sell my Tahoe. He wanted too much because it needed tires. He has now put on the new tires and my girl is selling her 1990 K2500 ext cab and we were gonna need a pickup and this was still for sale. With the new tires, this is now a very nice truck. I love the truck but it is hers. We are stuck together like glue, so it will be available to me whenever I need it or just want to drive it.

Also, I forgot about the drivetrain beefiness. The 4L80E and bigger transfer case and yes, the full float 10.5 axle that is pretty much grenade proof.

I have to look but I believe it is drive by wire but has a fan clutch and no electric fans. Gotta look still. Been busy all day getting a 2013 Hyundai Elantra with 27k miles on it, ready for sale tomorrow, for my landlord. Also getting insurance on truck so can have a policy number for the Oregon DMV online title transfer.
Oh, ok. Yeah, you have a mechanical fan clutch. The 8 lug trucks/SUV/vans never had electric fans.

Oh, I didn't realize this is that same truck? I remember you had posted about a while back... Very cool.

Bought this yesterday from the dad of my shop owner friend. He is second owner and has only put 20k miles on it since Sept. 2017. Have CarFax from 1st owner and there is no wrecks and religious maintenance history. Since seller owned, his ASE Master Tech son has taken care of truck. Just got new tires on truck. BF Goodrich K02's. The body is showroom condition with no dents, dings or scratches. Has 118k miles on it right now. I have the original air cleaner housing and plumbing and will be changing out, asap.

You have the find of the day. Perhaps, the find of the year. Congratulations!

I first saw this truck when I was actually working at my friend's shop when we were doing heavy engine work on an AL member's 2010 FJ Cruiser and doing the engine/transmission swap for my neighbor's 2006 F150. His dad swung by for his bi-weekly scrap metal pick up and I saw this truck. I walked around it, opened doors, popped the hood and told him if he ever wanted to sell the truck, I was interested. He then got ahold of me in July. It all started from there. The initial asking price was $18k. Then he dropped to $17k. Then I asked about a military discount down to $16k before I inspected it. We were in a ball park then. I inspected and found some leaks but all were fixable and not an emergency. But the tires were s*h*i*t. I offered $13k and he said no and we parted. Then my girl wanted to sell her Big Brown Beast. I contacted him about this truck again and he had put the new BF Goodrich K02's on it. Me and the girl took it for a long roadtest and she could adjust the seat and see just fine. She liked the truck and it was only about 1.5 feet longer than her truck and she liked sitting up a little higher. I offered $15k, he came back with $16,500 and we settled on the $16k.....cash. Done and done.

Are the new front turn signal bulbs amber?
Yes, they are. I see what you are looking at but they do flash amber. When I pulled them off the rack, at AZ, they had a clear look to the bulb but were marked amber and they do flash amber. The old ones were an amber coating that was flaking off. They are these bulbs:

That may very well be the best, most reliable and durable pickup truck ever made. GREAT find. Congrats to you both.

I like my electric fans on my cooling system of my Tahoe and the 2004 K2500HD has a fan clutch but so does the 2005 and the 2006 and I was not going to buy a GMT900. I looked at this truck in July and offered $13500. He said no. I had found 3-4 leaks that were really seepage. never a drop on his driveway or garage floor. It needed tires in the worst way. With the new tires and still wanting the truck, I had to get it. No animosity from him for my previous low ball offer and this truck, is without a doubt, the straightest one I have ever seen, that is 20 years old. Crew Cab too. Literally not a dent or scratch on it. With only 118k miles, it was calling my name.
