Not sure what terrain you are looking to tackle, and ive never done much rock crawling so i dont have much experience with what i call middle ground tires. I either run a good A/T tread whether new or retread, or no holds barred Interco Swamper Bias Ply tires. Surprisingly, i got about 35k out of my last set of Intercos....but loud, man were they loud.

They just absolutely sucked. Road noise was terrible compared to other brand offerings. Did not last but 30,000 miles. Never could get them balanced perfect. They were bad enough the Ford dealer who kept trying to make them right finally just gave up and comp'd me a new set of tires.

The Tahoe has Falken Wildpeak's and I may try those on the F150 next. They have been really good tires.

Thanks for your input. That's a shame, I really like the tread but performance is King! I've heard great things about those tires but also that the sidewalls are too stiff to air down and they're not great on loose terrain.

Patagonias are out, heard they dont last long. Intercos are probably too extreme as I dont do a lot of mud like I used to. Km3s are too pricey (aren't they all!). Maybe General Grabber X3 but not a huge fan of the tread and lack of sidewall lugs. I'll take a look at the Falkens

My falkens were well mannered on the road and did well in snow.

General Grabber AT2 Load Range E on my Suburban. I bought the version made in America (34”)

Been on for ~80k miles. I have to replace them this spring. Still have decent tread for highway use, but not enough for anything besides a gravel drive

I will replace with same tire. It’s a blatant copy of the KO2. Excellent tire. Just make sure to run the E range. They are a harder compound that will last longer underneath these heavy vehicles. The P rated will get 50-60k and the compound is too soft IMO for anything off-road

Mine are D rated. They are amazing on the trails but as you can see, subject to chunking. But them 4 years ago.
