I'm pretty sure what my noise is. It does it almost every time, still. Sometimes louder, sometimes not. Based on what I've researched, I'm almost positive this is it. I talked to the dealership and they feigned ignorance on the problem, so I'm a little hesitant to take it in for the reprogram. I'm going to try and schedule it for next week, because I'm not sure what kind of damage it's causing by doing this. The only reason I'm leaning this way is because I finally heard the machine gun noise everyone talks about, otherwise it's the metallic noise I'm used to. All the symptoms match, the explanation as to why it's happening makes sense. I'll update after I do the reprogram.

GM Document ID #2022356, for reference.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, 15 pages ago, you were right. I'll give you credit. What got me is, it doesn't sound the same as your video. It did it once the other day and that's when it clicked, otherwise it's that godawful moan. Which I can't find anything on, anywhere. By the process of elimination, it HAS to be the same thing.

So I was right.......15 pages ago. :)

Fixed. Just got back from the dealer, it was the ac reprogram, which is what was already assumed (thanks AZSCTACO). The service manager even coded it for powertrain warranty, so it was free. No noises, ac runs great, I'm in business for summer and I'm not out any money for labor.

Also had them pull up Global and let me look at the warranty history. Nothing major, but all door lock actuators have been replaced. Which is fantastic, considering I was wondering when and if they'd fail.

I'm a happy girl.

That's the truth! I'm just excited it was free. That was the best part!
