Oil And Transmission lines leaking

The oil cooler and transmission cooler lines on my 2012 are starting to leak. Is there any difference in quality between GM lines and Dorman line sets? I was hoping that my GM Total Plus extended warranty would cover it, but they only cover if it completely fails and leaves you broken down. I prefer to not let it get that far.

There are some threads on fixing these lines where you basically cut out the metal to rubber junctions and use fuel injection line with multiple hose clamps per side as it has more integrity than the stock lines that leak.

I did this to my Escalade and it worked and has been bone-dry ever since and cost less than $20.
