My OLM hits 0% exactly when the mileage strikes 7,000. I’m beginning to think it isn’t really a sensor.

Ever done a compression test?

No not yet. I know the 3rd cylinder back on the pass side is not a happy camper according to the spark plugs I replaced last year.

My OLM hits 0% exactly when the mileage strikes 7,000. I’m beginning to think it isn’t really a sensor.

I had 7k miles with 9% remaining. Who knows how it’s programmed. I just change it at 7k and use Mobil 1 Extended Performance. It’s cheap oil when they have the rebates. And they are usually twice a year. Can’t tell you how long it’s been since I paid full price.

I change mine every 3,000 regardless. Only reasons I even check my OLM is to reset it so it doesn’t ding at me lol
