So i am having an oil leak only when running, when it sits the garage for a few days i get 2 drops on the floor when i park it in the driveway and let it idle i get more in less time. It is coming both sides of the engine in the back, kinda looks like the oil pan gasket but my question would the oil pan gasket leak only when its running? I cant see the oil pressure sensor to see if thats leaking but is there any other common areas that these things leak from? its a 2007 yukon xl slt 5.3L V8

As its running the crank shaft dips into the oil a bit along with the vibration it will slosh oil up onto the gasket area. So yes it can leak only when its running. Another place to check is the rear valve cover area. It can leak down the block making it look like its something else.
