What kind of truck? Do you have steering wheel controls and a DIC?

Scroll to the oil life percentage display. Hold the enter button (bottom right with the arrow) for 5-10 seconds until it says "change oil" or "oil life reset". Press it again. Done.

What a coincidence!!! I just today picked my 2005 XL up from the Dealer. They forgot to reset that too!!!
I opted for clicking to "oil life" and holding the other button. Reset...simple. It's in the Owners Manual:

"To reset the engine oil life system, use the fuel button (left) to reach the ENGINE OIL LIFE screen and then press and hold the select button (right) for five seconds while ENGINE OIL LIFE is displayed. OIL LIFE RESET will appear on the display for 10 seconds to let you know the system is reset."
