In a Denali it’s time consuming because of all the stuff in the way.
I always tolerate the leak until it’s time for the major trans service when the trans comes out. The oil pump O ring gets replaced, rear main seal, oil pan gasket, oil pressure sender, motor mounts and front diff (2) dog bone bushings get replaced.
It’s a mechanics dream doing it with the trans out. If you buy all the (OEM) parts on rock auto for the tech to do, you’ll get close to $3k savings on parts & labor vs having it done with the trans installed.
