The oil filter housing and oil cooler line pickups are part of the oil pan not the block?

Just did that on my 15 while getting to the oil pump solenoid. But yes, it is labor intensive, to a point. Could easily just be a weekend job if your mechanically inclined. Drop the front differential and you'll gain access to everything from the bottom side Gaskets are cheap, but the labor and time is expensive
