Got in the car today and noticed the oil pressure gauge is at 0 and not moving. Checked the dipstick and it's setting at the first circle, which should be fine. The CE light is on, but haven't got it read yet. Until then, do I have a bed oil pressure sending unit?

Throw on a mechanical gauge to see if you truly don't have oil pressure. Pull the plugs and rotate the engine by hand just to make sure it spins freely before you try to start it

Just replaced the oil pressure sensor. Sucked getting to it for sure, but it's done. Started the Yukon and after 10 seconds the oil pressure jumped up to its normal idling pressure. Hopefully the CEL goes off after a little bit of driving.

Likely culprit is bad oil pressure sending unit.

My mechanic was able to replace it without removing the intake manifold...his trick is to deflate the front tires to allow easier access to the top back of the motor.
