Im thinking its a sender issue, but i will post and see if anyone has had the same.
Oil pressure guage, pegged at 80 when running, drops to 0 when shut off. Checked oil the other day, full and clean.
Should i start with the sender? or assume its the stepper?

I experienced the same and it was the oil pressure sender unit. PITA to change it. Just make sure you go with an oem one.

When my stepper motor went the gauge read 0 with the engine on and off. When my sending unit went it was pegged at 80 like yours.

I tried to change it but i couldn`t get my hands in there no matter what i tried. I gave up and called my friend who is a tiny little guy and he had it replaced in about two minutes.

Not too hard. You have to move some things out of the way but very easy to get to. 350lbs guy here and I have brats for fingers.

Just noticed mine doing the same recently. Changed oil like a month ago too. Let us know how it goes. I'll be doing mine soon too

Saw tons of youtube videos on it. Very simple , just a tight spot to get into

Id definitely look into that. you may be getting a false reading. its fairly important to know what pressure you actually have.
