recently i have an oil pressure light on of about ten seconds.during that time there was a weird noise coming from the truck then it disappears. a few days later the light comes back on the pressure is around 20 only usually around 40+ . any suggestions on what to do.

the oil is not at the low point. but its time to change the oil could that be causing the light to go off and the noise to come on. if i change the oil pump is there something else that has to be change along with the pump? is there a sure way to tell if the oil pump is going out. i have a 4x4 so it's going to be a pain to pull the pan out any instructions out there as how to change the pump?

I'd recomend having a shop look at it,
you can go ahead and change the oil first, see if it clears up.
the oil filter could be clogged and have the bypass failed. you never know
