Just noticed the oil pressure drops to like 20ish at idle and goes back up to 40 when you drive it. Not even sure if it has always done this? What is everyone else's oil pressure ??? It's due for an oil change in the next few weeks I guess I'll go ahead and change it this week to see if that helps. The oil is full I checked that today.

It's an 07 tahoe Ltz with 110,000 on the clock.

That is way low.
Run a can of sea foam through it for a cpl days then change it.
Use pf63 filter or wix 57045. Autozone has a sale on valve line vr1 10-30 5 quarts for 35$.

I get all crazy if my oil pressure drops below 40 at idle. It will also swing to 70 during a wot pull.
This is what you want.
20 is on the verge of failure.

20 is no where near on the verge of failure. Even my old 5.7 LS1 would run like that and lowest possible pressure was I believe around 7psi for it to still function. Mine sits around 25-30 warm idle in gear and 40ish running down the road. Yours is perfectly normal and if everyone on the forum chimed in Im sure they would say theirs is about there too.

Mine is the same.....and I have 170K on the odometer. It's normal and has been like this since I picked it up brand new.

Have to agree with byrds6 it is with in specifications, if there was an issue it will get a messege on DIC indicating low oil pressure along with ses light illumination, not only that but specifications are 20 at idle once at operating temp

FYI...I am getting around 55-60 psi running down the highway and 25-35 when idling and warmed up.
