advice, buy an oil pressure sending unit socket. makes life a hell of a lot easier (make sure you get the gm socket, there longer then most). these are 3/8 drive and make that job even easier.

I looked on www.rockauto.com and I couldn't find the "Pressure Sending Unit" on the website. Is that the correct term for the part or am I just retarded, lol.

A direct link would be nice.

I just got an oil pressure sensor in the mail today. How hard is it to install? I'm no mechanic but I can do simple things like plugs and wires, oil changes and such. I'm tried to determine if I should do it myself or have my mechanic do it.

Also, does anyone have photo's of an install?

after hearing ya'll talk about this, i'll just let my gauge go. it's at 20 at idle, and 40 while cruis'n. that seems normal to me so i'll just leave it alone :)
