ok guys the long overdue build is finally starting!

so i finally got my promotion at work and im not having to live paycheck to paycheck and my girlfriend got a job too so life is good and im finally going to finish what i started. Built a box last summer to run an fi bl but since they are having such long build times i opted for an aq hdc3 18 on an aq1200d for now. all the stuff should be here wednesday. also installing a kenwood excelon kdc-x395 and lots of knukonceptz wire! super stoked to get rolling on this considering its my first big build and first time having money to have all new stuff. heres a pic of the box right after i built it right around 7 cubes and 32hz tuning

anybody know how the stock electrical will hold up to this amp if i do the big 3? it wont be permanent but i cant get a straight answer as to whether or not it will be ok. I have the bigger 130 amp alt.

it should hold up. voltage drops shouldnt be too bad just watch the meter. i got a 15 hd on a rockford t10001bd and love it.

Nice man! Your stock alt should do fine with the big 3. I ran 2 saz-1200's off my stock alt.

well fellas its in and playing on about half power.. took a lot longer than expected never even got to the big 3 yet but DAMN! I need deadener like no other took me forever to get the sub to work because my switch on the amp was set up as input slave and gain was too low to move the sub but now its slammin pretty good. in the hour or so ive listened to it the sub has already gotten lower/louder cant wait to see how it sounds in a few weeks fully broke in.
