oh yeah! the ABS is programmed for a 265 tire I think and can be changed for a 285 max. So when you press the pedal hard the pump then thinks that a lock up is coming and backs pressure off the calipers therefore increasing stopping distance and also always the pedal to go to the floor. Try it in an empty lot. Panic stop withthe fuse and with out and also note the pedal travel and firmness

Did you pull the light? The artard who abused my hoe before me either pulled the CEL or it burned out- are they the same bulbs? Can I kill 2 birds with one stone?

I pulled the fuse, then pulled the ABS light.

ABS and CEL use their own light. Not sure if that's what you are asking, RMM.

nope I ride around with the orange ABS light on all the time. it doesn't bother me. I keep the fuse inthe console just in case of crappy weather.

really? I have had my fuse out since the re-grear. I am reaching for an answer to why but is your ECU re-programmed for the new gear size? The ABS is a totally different system though, right? could be a fluke and a sensor is damaged, there are two in the front (one on each wheel) and one in the rear differential. I don't know though.
