I've got a 2002 Tahoe 2WD that has about 194K miles on it.

Never had any major issues except a few changes batteries and maybe some brake adjusted. Oil is changed every 3000 miles.

I will soon be driving from NC to Utah (about 2000 miles)

Just wanted thoughts on if the car would hold up alright

Thanks!

If your truck has been maintained these miles wouldn't scare me at all. Besides, being a 2002 model, you have less of the electronics to worry about.

As long as you don't let it run out of gas, you'll get there.

Look at it this way: you go 3,000 miles between oil changes and all you have to do is put gas in it. Why would a single 2,000 mile trip be any different? Your post describes periodic maintenance and wear items which everyone deals with regardless of mileage.

True.

Just didn't know if the 8-12 hours of driving would be a lot of strain and heat on engine, battery, transmission, etc.

Like saying walking 10 miles in a week is less straining than 10miles in a day.
