I also recommend using good quality fuel at all times. Use the called for octane amount and use a top tier fuel. I know you will be tempted to save money on fuel here and there but that will cost you more at a later date.

Alongside @gooffeyguy's Mazda suggestion, also do some research for other makes and models using the same or similar drivetrain. They'll have similar issues.

I use the ford truck forum for my old Bronco in the desert. No charges to join but verrrrrrrrry slow to get replies. I think it has an escape/tribute section. Good luck.
