apparently you have to splice 3 wires somewhere according to the site and you need one for every window you want the feature on

You have to splice 6 wires:

Switch up
Switch down
Motor up
Motor down
12V
Ground

It's basically a DEI 529t, made for 1 sunroof/window/etc. to operate in either direction.

A DEI 530t does 2 windows per module, and the newer modules have dipswitches to compensate for the load of heavier windows.

Without a doubt, the green/blue motor wires have to be soldered for proper operation.

I am running (3) 530t's (one for the front windows, one for rear windows, one for my sunroof).

Whether you go 529t, 530t, or the autoloc unit, they are definitely not plug n play units.

Nice find and of im not criticizing but wow are we getting lazy, HAHA. The reason the manufacturers haven't done this was for safety. I have two kids and that's all i need to hear one of them yell because there fingers are caught but over all its nice you share what you find.

I like it but not enough to buy one for each window.

Saftey doesnt make sense, so bmw or mercedes dont care about safety? I would love to have i am just not mechanically inclined so i would just pay my mechanic. Doesnt other manufacturers do this as well? I agree w/ yates though, not to do each individual one, thats too expensive to me.

I guess i should have rephrased it differently. Yes I do know European cars have this feature and im almost sure they thought of safety. My M3 does have this feature and yes I played stupid putting my fingers there to see if it stops and yes it does. I guess who ever gets this unit should double check if they care and if not put your finger there and tell me what happens.
