Pending sale now. buyer is willing to wait 3-4 weeks until my GMC arrives.
Sold my Suburban and picked up my Duramax Yukon XL SLT, very happy with the upgrade. Plan to redo the 9seat conversion on the GMC in next few days.

Congrats on the Yukon! It looks great and I’m sure is an upgrade from the RST.

I’m pretty happy with our LS so far. The only thing I did not anticipate is the cloth seats make me very static, especially with certain clothing. Wish I’d seen this earlier, I would’ve considered your awesome (leather) setup, although not sure it would be worth it taking a hit on (CA) sales tax…

Looking forward to seeing how this 9 seat upgrade goes :)

On the way back from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho stopped by Palouse Falls, WA. Only 1 hr out of the way. Was worth the stop!
Picked up my new car and made it into a little trip with my boys.
If anyone looking to order new GMC, Robideaux Motors Buick/GMC in Coeur d’Alane, Idaho gave me the best price, below MSRP. (Ask for Pam or Greg,

completed the conversion, some photos attached, also I have disconnected the drivers right side seat airbag and plugged a resistor into it so the airbag system works and now this bag will not deploy and possibly injure my child who will be sitting in the jump/center seat. (If you order 9 seat base model Yukon/Suburban from GM this airbag is not installed; and the back seat cover can be removed to access it without removing the seat)

I usually have my 9yr old sit there, she is not tall for her age, she is probably under 4'6"
Yesterday on our 2hr trip to the beach my 14yr old sat there, and he is probably at least 5'6" but it was tight for him.

I used to own 2007 Lincoln Navigator L, and on it's 2nd row bench seat, the center seat was separate from the outboard seats (40/20/40 while GM has it as 60/40 split)
While 2nd row outboard seats had recline and slide (forward/backward) adjustments, the center seat had only sliding forward/backwards. Which was a nice feature if you have an infant carseat there you can move it closer to front to reach the baby. (Ford/Lincoln also used to offer 9 seat option awhile back and it was special order and I have only seen one Ford Expedition EL for sale with 9 seats)

GM is the only one now to offer 9 seat full size SUV, and I wish GM would make this center seat slide backward, because there is good leg room at 2nd row and 3rd row where you could customize to make everyone comfortable and slide this front row jump/center seat back to make it more comfortable for the child, because the dashboard is pretty close.

I understand protecting your child but if ever you were in a situation where that air bag needed to deploy you could be held liable for tampering with the safety equipment. Something to think about.
