We have a 2022 Denali and I have not noticed anything like this. Shifting seems nice and smooth, so far at least. Only 2k miles so far.
It's one of those things that you would never notice or be concerned about if you didn't read about it on the internet

Yep. Same here for my 2022 Yukon Denali. From a full stop, the shift between 1st and 2nd is rough. It doesn’t clunk, but there’s a definite miss/thinking for a second.
I've noticed same thing. Disappointing to discover this! Will keep my eyes out for a solution...

I noticed it long before I read about it here, still only have 2800 miles on the clock, figuring there is still a bit of learniing going on.
Note, all shifts besides 1-2 are butter smooth, and most of the time 1-2 is super smooth too...just very occasionally it seems like it is thinking about whether or not to shift 1-2...its not rough when it does, it just seems like it isn't sure it wants to shift yet.

A good example what could go wrong with 'AI' technology.
