Open element air filter 350 TBI

I am thinking about running an open element air filter on my 350 TBI what are the pros and cons, any pics of setups your using and links to the parts used

Im running an eddlebrock air cleaner. Since your tbi and running 2 stud go ti the junkyard and get the 1 stud from an older tbi. It just unturns n comes out.

PROS. better.mpg, looks good, and cleans up engine bay
CONS. Water can get in and make it run like shit. I went boggin and had that problem. The filter gets dirty faster. It can clog faster.

Mine is jusy a 14in plate with i believe a 3in tall filter. Shoulda got a 4in. Super easy to do tho just unsrew the 2 studs then screw in the junkyard single stud in the middle

No problem. Tooke me forever to figure out you cpuld convert to one stud. Was gonna end up paying coupel hundred for a 2 stud qnd they only came in chrome

Drop base, Not sure how tall the filter is, K+N xtreme flow top, single stud, it's easier to just go get threaded rod from Home Depot, bend and cut the thing yourself. I remounted my coil to the firewall, I recall that was an issue at one point.
