Hello, first post. I found a local dealer with a higher mileage 2015 Tahoe LT. It's a fairly clean rust and dent free Tahoe with 131,000 miles. It currently has the polished wheels (shown on it below), however I asked the dealer if he would swap wheels off a truck he has on the lot. They are the black 18" factory wheels with new Goodyear duratracs. I work on power line right of ways and wanted something slightly more aggressive. I didn't want to buy it then have to go buy tires as well. I also wanted a Z71 package Tahoe, so I figured this would be a decent compromise. Opinions appreciated!

what size are the tires on the black rims - if they are too large they will rub. If they do fit and you want the truck - I think the swap is a good idea. 15 was the 1st year of this model run - sometimes the 1st year vehicles can be a little buggy. Make sure the A/C works correctly. GL

My opinion is to skip the 2015 LT and look for 2017 Z71. This one got high milages and those 20’s are more expensive than the 18’s to swap. With the Z71 you’ll not only get the 18’s, but good ground clearance at the front and a 4 wheel drive. 2017 models have Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well.

Nice looking truck. You will have a love/hate relationship with those duratracs. They will never let you down but you will always know they are there. I had a set and they were freaking great in the snow and off road. They were also loud and you knew they were there.

that’s a lot of miles for a 5 year old truck.... was it a fleet vehicle or rental?
I'm not sure on its history. I would assume fleet, but it has an aftermarket DVD player on the ceiling.. so it's hauled passengers. Although it doesn't show any signs of "small" kids being in it. Then again, maybe my kids just leave a bigger trail than most.

It is high mileage, I agree. However the price is right and it is going to spend 90% of its time on our AEP Powerline right of way roads. I don't plan to lift it, but most likely level it and add the OEM aluminum/steel skid plates since they seem fairly inexpensive. The wheel swap was only to save me from running to buy 20" all terrain tires. I also like the look of black on black.

I pulled the trigger on it today. Loving it so far. I plan on having the local Chevrolet dealer pull records on it. I'm curious what has been done as it appears to have been taken care of.
