Hi all. I am looking to upgrade my factory 6 disc hu to an aftermarket touchscreen gps unit. Looking for opinions on which one would be best for me. Only things i must have would be keeping steering wheel controls, built in gps, and bluetooth for my phone. I'd like to stay in the $500-$600 if i can. Thanks for any input. My truck is an 05 yukon xl with bose.

You won't be able to stay in your price range with the options you want. Even with a dd a/v radio with app capabilities is going to be $600 alone. Add Steering wheel controls and installation you will be close to 900-1000. I like Kenwood, basically for sound quality and ease of bypassing safety features. Many prefer pioneer. However to have built in nav and bluetooth with the other options you want, for the price you want, the radio will be a turd. Spend a little money and get a premium product.

Don't forget just the wiring harness, steering wheel controls, and dash kit will set you back $150 or so...

The only way to get close would be a used or refurb deck(I know, I know)...Pioneer x940and Kenwood 6980s are running about $500. But even that is just the deck alone.

To get what you're looking for, you will have to increase your price range like everyone is saying. But If you don't plan on keeping your OEM system and its in good condition, you can sell it and get some of your money back.

Jensen anything makes a great paper weight, that's about all they are good for. (opinion). I'll say it again, spend a little more to be much happier.

the pioneer app radios are junk as well. we constantly have to replace them for freezing up and being overall a turd. plus unless you have your iphone then you have a really expensive fm radio.
kenwood hands down has the best av unit with nav. the dnx5190 is gonna be your cheapest kenwood option. its got bluetooth, dvd with a very easy way to bypass it, and garman navigation built-in. we install these alot and is a great unit. price point is around $699

http://www.kenwoodusa.com/Car_Entertainment/Mobile_Video_n_Navigation/Navigation/DNX5190

if you can live without having navigation and can use it off of your phone or with an external unit then the pioneer avh-2400bt is a great option. still does bluetooth, dvd, and ipod controls. price point is around $349

http://www.pioneer.eu/eur/products/25/111/281/AVH-2400BT/page.html

of course like the guys say after you get the unit then youve gotta get the parts to install it. dash kits run $20, antenna adapters run $18, and the interface to keep onstar, bose, door chime, and rap will around $130, the steering wheel interface runs around $79, and then if you have it installed itll run $100+. the steering wheel controls you can always go back and add later if you want to save some cash right now
