Good condition on KBB is around $5500. That is taking in to consideration the worn out tires and I did show her that. Couple of small scratches at the drivers door, like key scratches from trying to find the tumbler hole in the dark, has a key fob so don't understand that? The drivers seat right fold down arm rest is cracked pretty good but I always drive with that folded up anyways. I believe I can get it for the $5500. I looked up my AV and should sell for around $7000 to $7500. My leather interior is almost perfect. Tires almost new. Has the new Gatorback belts and AC Delco tensioners and idler. Absolutely no leaks at the bed and all works as should. I am going to do some pics of my rig and post on CL and see what happens.

The fact that she has all dealer maintenance/repair paperwork seals the deal for me. They were close to retirement when they bought it new and always took to a dealer right down the road from me, for everything, including oil changes. I looked at the cooling system and it looks pristine. The oil is fresh and she said the brakes had just been done, front and rear.

All sounds good, my drivers armrest is worn as well.

See if you can get it for 5K?

Yea, it is like it was fate. She was having her son in law come get the washer and dryer out of the unit and it would have been empty but we had gotten along together so well she wanted to come say good bye. She had always showed up before in a Honda Accord. This was her husband's Tahoe so I had never seen it before till she just happened to drive it in yesterday. If the deal goes like I hope then I may have to get a lottery ticket the same day. LOL!

I personally don't mind the AV look at all. It can grow on ya and is a very versatile rig. I have had it a year in March and no problems except for the belts and tensioners/idlers. Came with new tires and all does work well. I do want a Tahoe or Yukon though. Here in Eugene the AV should sell no problem. Thanks for all the positive comments and even the negative ones about the AV. Doesn't bother me. To each his own so to speak.

Do you have any details about the Tahoe? 2WD or 4x4? 4.8 or 5.3?

All does sound really good and the cosmetically things are fixed quickly, new tires are as well no big deal.

Go and buy that lottery ticket and do not forget about your forum friends. ;-)

Another update. Listed my AV on CL and the first guy that saw it today said he would give me my asking price of $8k. The credit union said we could have the title mailed here within 5 business days after pay off. The guy is willing to wait. He is a local fireman and we know a chief together and we know we can trust each other. I called the lady with the 02 Tahoe and she agreed on $5500 for hers and is willing to wait for my transaction to go through. It looks like it is a go to get the Tahoe. :)
