It is a pet peeve of mine. Gotta have no leaks. That is why if I was buying a used rig I will never do so if the engine bay has been detailed. I expect to see a leak or two and want to see them. I love informed decisions. So far, I have used Fel-Pro gaskets throughout the work. Before it is put back together, cleanliness is next to Godliness, IMO.

I hope to be taking a break from all this work after this is done. I am ready for a few trips to the coast and a break for about 3-4 months.

Ok, just finishing up for the night and on to the hydro-boost and master cylinder tomorrow night: Did some electrical cables and our own version of better electrical flow. We had already, basically I did, went and found each and every ground under and around and disassembled, clean thoroughly, replaced connectors as needed and then reinstalled good and tight.

Well, that was a read for sure. Kind of wish I had timed it. I do absolutely LOVE what you're doing here sir.
I'm in the process of reviving my 02 Z71 for my fishing excursions down the islands in Texas. I should've documented it all but it's too late for all that now. You have given me some ideas though on things I will likely get into once this motor refresh phase coming up is completed next month. Keep us informed, it's great to see and I am definitely interested and watching as I'd assume others are.

Tomorrow night we will be replacing all the ignition coils as well. I will have several things/items that are still in great shape but used and will be selling them. If small enough I can also arrange to ship. I will post the pics and list in the "parts for sale" section when I get it all home from the shop.

You can also see the new P/S pump too.

Wow so your thread. Lots of work!
Basically time for me to replace both. Thanks.

What is that sensor that's plugged in for? For charging? Think I saw RVG on it.

I quoted you but the other post was transferred as well and I cannot figure out how to delete it.

Anyway, that is like an amp clamp. It was on the rig when I bought it. It was explained to me that since we added a third ground wire, that all three grounds run through it and are monitored and sends info to the computers on the rig. I did try to search the GM part number but could not find the factory description.

Then I posted this and saw @Fless described it better than maybe I could.

Regulated Voltage Control, new in 2005, I think.

Thx guys. I thought that was strictly an nnns thing. My 03 definitely doesn't have that. Just more stuff that would break imo.
