Placed an order for a 2021 Yukon XL SLT, Onxy Black, Jet Black Interior, Luxury Plus Pkg, Trailering Package, Illumination Package and a few accessories. Plan will be to drive it for 30 months and put 100K or so on it.
I have had a '15 Tahoe LT, '17 Suburban Lt, and currently in a '19 Suburban LT. I seriously looked at going back to to the Tahoe/Yukon with the added size but ultimately decided on the XL. I have found the Suburban to easy to manuever and I like the extra space. It is a great family vehicle.
I looked a the Suburban LT, Z71, RST and Premier as well as the Yukon XL SLT and AT. Really splitting hairs on these as I was outfitting them the same way. I took my 16 and 14 year old to get their thoughts and help me pick. They didn't like the look of ghe Z71 (I was leaning that way with the Chevy). They also hated the GMC AT Interior. I have to agree with them, the Brown/Black combo is kind of ugly. I also was leaning towards a different interior than black, but they felt the Dark Walnut/Slate looked more minivan. We all were in agreement we liked the grill on the SLT better than the Denali. And felt the Yukon was the best looking of the bunch. I like that for the most part, the controls are where I expect them and it will be an easy transition. The panoramic roof will be nice and of course I am looking forward to independent rear suspension. Excited for the vehicle to get here. Will definitely post pictures when I can.
I am also anxious to see the Roof Rails. I fear the new design will look odd and disproportionate like they do on the Traverse.
